My position on the issue of all fast track applications has been very clear publicly. Queenstown Lakes District will base its comments on a technical assessment of the current district plans, policies, objectives and rules. The reason for this is that the District plan is the only document in the resource management space that has gone through rigorous public participation and is the only document that council can point to and present a community voice.

As for infrastructure, effective delivery of the long term plan is a priority along with successfully negotiating the outcomes of the regional deal.
